The old museum has been reborn as a large, 1,500 ㎡ museum.

Enjoy exhibitions on Genbudo cave, the San'in Kaigan Geopark, the Asian elephant, beautiful minerals and precious stones, glowing rocks, the life of the mighty t-rex, the history and techniques of traditional Toyooka weaving, and more.
You can enjoy seasonal products made with local ingredients at our restaurant and café. Our shop features products related to rocks, Toyooka shoes, Toyooka woven bags, sweets made at the museum, and more.
Toyooka weaving is a traditional art with a 2,000 year history. Using natural willow and cane wood, you can weave your own original item, including coasters, cups, water bottle clips, baskets, and more.
Genbudo Museum is a facility located near the entrance to the important Genbudo Park geosite, part of the San'in Kaigan Geopark.
It's near Kinosaki Onsen in the northern part of Hyogo prefecture.
The museum showcases Genbudo cave, the strange world of rocks, traditional Toyooka weaving, and more.
This is a new facility with a museum shop, a souvenir shop with local Tajima goods, a confectionary kitchen, and a restaurant and cafe.

Located in front of the museum, the Genbudo Park is a nationally-registered natural monument which offers some of Toyooka's most magnificent scenery. Beautiful hexagonal pillars reach into the sky, created when lava cooled and hardened.
You can also visit the 5 different caves, each with their own unique features.
